We’re excited to share some great news: Mikko Alander, Senior Managing Consultant at Midagon, has been awarded the prestigious IPMA Level A certification – the highest level of professional certification in project management. It’s a rare achievement, with only 36 people in Finland holding this certification.
The IPMA Level A top-tier certification is given to professionals who have:
· Led highly demanding projects in environments that significantly impact organizational strategy,
· Successfully managed strategic-level projects, and
· Held a general management role in complex projects for at least five years, with a minimum of 36 months leading strategic-level initiatives within the past twelve years.
Over the years, Mikko has worked successfully on projects for more than 30 clients. His reference project for the certification was Orion’s ERP S/4HANA transformation, where he served as project lead. The project is a great example of the strategic complexity and leadership required for Level A certification.
With over two decades of experience in ICT project leadership, Mikko’s background spans industries like pharmaceuticals, forestry, banking and insurance, logistics, manufacturing, food production, and public administration.
The IPMA certification is based on a neutral, internationally recognized standard backed by the International Project Management Association (IPMA). For Midagon’s clients, it’s a clear signal of quality – showing that our consultants bring verified experience and top-level competence to every project.
“For our clients, the certification is a mark of quality, confirming that our expertise is grounded on real experience and international standards. For me personally, it’s a meaningful milestone – proof that I’ve successfully practised and continuously developed in the profession of project management,” says Mikko.
