Better scalability and development of maintenance services
A leading telecommunications operator had decided to seek further efficiency, scalability and new IT skills by consolidating its enterprise business and support function applications to two selected outsourcing partners. The transition scope included all IT services from internal teams and third parties as well as the transition of 100 people and 300 applications varying from simple tools to a large-scale SAP implementation.
Midagon acted as Project Manager, setting up and leading the transition projects (services, people, applications) to the two selected partners, providing also support in earlier transition contract negotiations and contract finalization.
Transition projects were successfully completed without any business interruptions. The telecom operator achieved the set targets which included remarkable OPEX savings, the scalability of development and maintenance services and access to a global skillset and innovation.
